Healthcare innovation example

The Hospital of the Future is a specialized forum that was launched in Portugal in November 2003, and ever since managed by groupVision’s Editorial and Education Consulting Services.

This is a private, non-governmental and not-for-profit initiative, which promotes joint reflection and strategic dialogue within the healthcare sector. This forum involves as partners major professional associations, universities such as the ENSP, the ESTeSL, private companies and other organizations from the portuguese ministry of healthcare.

Through the use of a participative approach, the Hospital of the Future organizes discussion groups and other seminar formats to address the most innovative and challenging themes in healthcare.

Complex problems cannot be solved with simple solutions. In collaboration with key reference healthcare partners, groupVision broadens strategic thinking and promotes  innovative paths of intervention.

Each meeting is designed as an editorial project. The forum’s major achievements not only receive the attention of specialized press but are also covered and published in our health care specialized magazine - HdF - backed by an associated daily news website.

Every year healthcare innovation and best practice examples presented by hundreds of  organizations are screened by an independent expert jury. The few selected ones receive the prestigious Hospital of the Future awards.

This social responsability initiative is backed by an alliance of public and private partners, including the Portuguese healthcare general direction DGS,  consulting companies such as Sinase and Gesaworld Grup, among other renowned sponsors.
